Tsinghua High School held a lecture on Interactive Teaching

On May 22, Tsinghua High School Affiliated to Tsinghua University invited Dr. Paul Kemo, former Director of the Science and Technology Department of Thomas Jefferson High School in the United States and now Special Adviser to the President of Renmin University High School, to give a lecture on Interactive Teaching。Tsinghua High School leaders, teachers and some staff a total of more than 200 people attended。Mr. Pan Tianjun, deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office, presided over the lecture。

Dr. Paul Kemo wrote "What does the teacher teach, how does the teacher teach, and which is more important??The question began the lecture。First of all, two difficult problems of discussion teaching are solved, one is how to use the precious time in class, and the other is how to create the classroom discussion environment。Secondly, it talks about the art of questioning, emphasizing that teachers should guide students to think in the direction of expectation and go out of their own "comfort zone".。Finally, based on his teaching experience at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology and the High School Attached to Renmin University of China, Dr. Paul explained how to integrate teaching style and student behavior to improve teaching efficiency。Throughout the lecture, Paul Kemo was humorous, constantly interacting with the teacher and answering the teacher's questions。

Finally, Deputy Director Pan Tianjun made a concluding speech。First, the art of questioning and the skills of organizing discussion are the shortcomings of teachers' organized discussion teaching. This lecture has done a good inspiration and guidance for teachers。Second, the current teaching is still more emphasis on the imparting of knowledge, more importantly, teaching students thinking, analysis and other higher-order thinking ability。

This lecture has brought great inspiration to the teachers of the High School attached to Tsinghua University, and has played a promoting role in enriching the classroom teaching forms and improving the teaching efficiency。
