Students from the International Department of Tsinghua High School went to Anhui to explore and practice Chinese culture

From April 25 to 29, the International Department of Tsinghua High School organized the eighth grade students to carry out a natural and cultural trip of "Curious Huangshan Ink Painting Huizhou", a series of Chinese practice investigation and exploration activities。

The activity integrated Chinese, history, society, nature and other courses, not only let the students appreciate the magic of nature, verified the "Huangshan return not to see Yue", but also explored and touched the Hui-style architecture of the white wall Wadai, and carried out a rich folk experience of Hui tea, pen and ink, pine and bamboo culture。

Activities include climbing Mount Huangshan,Enjoy the beauty of the world's first strange mountain;Visit Hu Kai ink factory, Yang Wen Pen Zhuang,Experience Huizhou ink culture;Cropland of morning glory,Be a "little farmer";Visit an organic tea garden,Appreciate the exquisite tea tasting skills of Taoism;Bamboo leaves under the wind,Experience bamboo carving;Into Hongcun,A glance at Huizhou architecture;Walk around Tunxi Old Street,Enjoy Huizhou cultural customs and so on。

It is worth mentioning that during this trip, the children also carried out a love donation activity of "Share my books, build your small bookshelf" to Huangshan Hongli Junior Middle School。The boys from the two schools, working by themselves and actively cooperating, assembled two bookshelves。The girls categorized and organized the books, and then the chorus will push the activity to the climax。Then, the teacher of Hongli Middle School gave the children of the International Department a Chinese lesson on "Jiangnan Chuntian";先生.Williams gave a lesson on How to learn English to local children。In addition to coursework, Mr.Mustonen also organized a friendship table tennis match and a tug of war between the two schools。More than 80 children, Chinese and English, international schools and local schools, Chinese teachers and foreign teachers, at this moment, without distinction, sharing the joy。

After the cultural practice investigation, the children worked in groups to complete the investigation report on nine themes, such as Huizhou architecture, tea culture, pen and ink culture, Huizhou cultural customs practice investigation report and Huizhou culture preservation, inheritance and development, and carefully thought and summarized the field experience and feelings of this activity。

The activity was organized by Ms. Bai Wenting, Ms. Li Liangfang, and Mr. Li Liangfang, English Group.Mr Williams and the Physical Education team Mr.Mr. Mustonen leads the team。It is one of the series of Chinese culture exploration and practice activities of the International Department, and it is also the second time that the International Department of Tsinghua High School organized students to visit the place。It aims to let students personally feel the unique charm of Huizhou culture。Under the background of international education, combined with the characteristics of The Times, the psychological characteristics and emotional needs of students, and the multi-disciplinary content, the International Department allows children to truly experience the art and charm of Chinese culture。This activity not only improves the children's ability to use Chinese language, but also improves their humanistic quality and aesthetic ability, and enables them to have a certain understanding, approval and tolerance of Chinese culture。
