On December 1, the first home match of the Bauhinia Basketball Club was held in the basketball hall of the Affiliated High School of Tsinghua University. The visiting team was the Party School of the CPC Central Committee。Liu Yuhang and Li Pengpeng, two national first-class basketball referees from Beijing Sport University, were invited to ensure that the game was fair and just。The competition received strong support and logistics support from the school. In the autumn of 2018, Zhang He, Bu Tianyu and Wang Maiqing, three basketball enthusiasts from Class 1814 of Tsinghua High School Affiliated to Tsinghua University, established the "Bauhinia Basketball Club" under the guidance of Teacher Zhang Qin, the head teacher, and set up two divisions of actual combat basketball and fancy basketball。

The Bauhinia Basketball Club has its own association LOGO, the badge takes the basketball as the main outline, and the Bauhinia flower branches as the theme of the badge。Bauhinia is the flower of Tsinghua University。In terms of biological characteristics, it has the character of "daring to be the first in the world", because when it blossoms, the earth of Beijing is still a piece of yellow。Bauhinia has a "team spirit", it is commonly known as "full of red", when flowering the entire branches are densely clustered in a hundred clusters。The Bauhinia Basketball Club of the High School attached to Tsinghua University takes the Bauhinia branches in full bloom as the soul of the badge, advocating team spirit, down-to-earth, brave struggle, and daring to be the first in the world。The emblem of Tsinghua bauhinia and its scientific name were confirmed by Dr. Lin Qinwen of the Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Bauhinia branches were painted by the institute's botanical painter Li Aili。
